Baptism is one of the most powerful next steps you can take in your walk with Christ. If you’ve accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, baptism is your chance to make a public declaration of your faith and celebrate the new life you’ve found in Him.
Going into the water represents dying to your old life, and coming up again symbolizes being raised with Christ into a brand-new life of freedom and purpose.
It’s a beautiful outward expression of what God has already done in your heart.
At Word of Life Christian Center, we celebrate Water Baptism four times a year. Candidates must be at least seven years old and have personally made the decision to follow Jesus. Each baptism service is a joyful, unforgettable moment—shared with family, friends, and your church family—marking your commitment to live for Him.
Is baptism the same as salvation?
No. Salvation happens when you personally accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Baptism is an outward expression of that inward decision.
Do I need to be re-baptized if I was baptized as a baby?
We believe baptism is for those who can make their own decision to follow Christ. If you were baptized as an infant, we encourage you to be baptized again as a personal choice of faith.
What should I bring?
We provide a baptism t-shirt, but you’ll want to bring a change of clothes, a towel, and anything else you might need.
Can my family and friends attend?
Absolutely! Baptism is a celebration, and we encourage you to invite loved ones to witness this special moment.
